OK, So I've been learning to develop an Android application lately. As part of this, I decided to put together a small, simple application and publish it to Google Play Store. However, there was a catch. I didn't know what to develop at first place. Thought a lot. No idea popped up. I felt like a loser groping for app ideas at one point but nothing came up.
Then one fine day, I came to know about an app for Ahmedabad while browsing Play Store. I immediately looked up for similar app for Baroda and couldn't find one. Boom! This has to be it. I decided to make an app for Baroda.
The next following weekends I devised some time to decide what content to be included. I also prepared some pencil sketches for app UI. Then came the coding part. As I said, I just started to learn Android. So, the coding thing was a bit intimidating at first. But it started making sense after a while. And after a little while, I actually enjoyed doing it.
The app idea was to provide details of important places, landmarks, businesses, eateries etc. in the city. And provide it in simple and intuitive manner so that it would be useful to both locals and visitors of Vadodara alike. I'm planning on providing more features in later updates. But for now, let's hope all goes well. :)
